I recently came across a writing that I found to be really profound, heartwarming and inspiring and I wanted to share it with you.
It was shared by Deepak Chopra and a lady called Maureen Kapur but the author of the actual writing is unknown.
The author is a historian who writes about our current times for the future generations. And he/she, in the words that I share with you, is writing for the future about this current time of global challenge relating to the Covid 19/ Coronavirus that we are facing together. Maybe these words will be what our children and even grandchildren might read in the future, a moving thought in itself, no?
But these words offer not only insight and understanding for the future but, also if we chose to see them this way, the gift and opportunity for us all in the here and now, for renewal and healing .
Here are the words:
…And the people stayed at home and they read books and listened to music and rested and exercised and made art and played games and learned new ways of being…and they were still. They listened more deeply, some meditated, some prayed, some danced, some met their shadows and the people began to think differently. The people healed and in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways the earth began to heal. And when the danger passed and the people joined together again they grieved their losses and made new choices. They dreamed new images and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they healed. As they had been healed, they healed the earth.
They are such thought provoking words, don’t you think and touch the deepest parts of my heart and soul everytime I read them
Let us heal and renew together at this time and as we heal ourselves so may we heal the earth.
